The Laptops for Learning Project is a collaboration between The Initiative and the University of Vermont’s Belize Semester Abroad Program. Students from the UVM are using 10 MacBooks to train and teach basic computing skills to elementary school students at the St. Barnabas Anglican School, Cayo District, Belize. As a part of their undergraduate coursework in Belize, students from UVM and the host-study abroad school, Galen University, will give regular training classes to both teachers and students at St. Barnabas. The donation of the laptops was coordinated by The Iniative with help from the Maine Learning Technology Initiative.
